Our headlight restoration service restores the finish to your headlights & is completed with added UV protection.
Faded headlights not only effect light output and look unappealing they will also cause MOT failures or advisories, this service provides an affordable solution.
Most modern car headlights are made from Polycarbonate, which is a very durable type of plastic. Car manufacturers apply a UV protection layer to headlights during the assembly process, but unfortunately over time harsh weather conditions causes an inevitable cloudy/faded finish.
Starting with various stages of wet sanding by hand to ensure each stage removes the damaged layer and produces a surface ready to machine polish.
The headlights are then ready for 2 stages of machine polishing, firstly a heavy cut polish to remove the finish left behind by the wet sanding stages, to then finish with a light polish to add the crystal clear clarity!
Headlights are IPA wiped down removing any contaminants and oils from the previous stages preparing for the finishing sealant.
Adding a layer of SiRamik Glasscoat's hardest curing and heat resistance ceramic coating, helping protect against UV and prevent the headlights fading again.
Priced from* as little as £40-£80 depending on condition.
The headlights featured on this page are 13 years old, removing the oxidised layer and reducing the "road rash" (lots of little stone chips) ultimately transforms the finish giving a clean and more appealing look.
